Skagen and Lindholm Høje

Hi everybody,

This is a post about my visits of the viking burial site Lindholm Høje and the northern point of Denmark called Skagen.

Firstly, the viking cimetery ! The weather was not so good but we had nothing else to do so we decided to take our bikes and to visit it. We rode the bikes up to 10km to reach it.. It was so freezing because there was snow everywhere and the wind was blowing stongly.

It was really interesting to see all these stones put in the ground particularly but with all the snow everywhere we couldn't see each details. However, it was nice.

As I said ealier, I also went to the northern point of Denmark which is called Skagen in cause of the village just close to it but the specific name of the northernmost point is Grenen. It's a little sandy point where two parts of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet.

I couldn't see a particular color between both seas because of the weather which was cloudy but there were  turbulent seas and small waves so I could distinguished it. It was also an interesting feeling to see the west coast and the east cost of Denmark at the same time.

It was also freezing but good to breath some salty air and walk on the sand. We also had the visit of a wild sea lion which was just incredible.

We stopped at Skagen on the way back to take a coffee and warm us up.

 Stay connected for more news.
